There's a huge selection of heart-shaped candy and desserts in stores, or reciepies to bake you own in your mom's old cook book. But what do you do if your valentine doesn't have a sweet tooth, or gave up chocolate for their New Year's Resolution, or is just trying so gosh darn hard to shed those last ten pounds?
Answer: Substitute those awful sugar-packed snacks with the natural sweetness, antitoxins, and vitamins of fresh fruit. Duh!
Best part is, even the oven-illiterate husbands can make these, no problem!
All you need is a heart-shaped cookie cutter, kabob skewers, and a few slices of your valentine's favorite fruits! (Mellon types work best for this idea, but you can use pineapple, apples, pears, etc.)

Forget chocolate-dipped strawberries. Instead, try a personal favorite: Strawberries dipped in vanilla Greek yogurt (or any flavored yogurt - you can't go wrong). Freeze them overnight for a sensual treat. *wink*

Try these delicious apple "chips". Works with pairs and bananas too. Dip in yogurt or peanut butter.

For the married or live-in couples, try this breakfast in bed idea: Healthy & cute Berry French Toast!

Don't forget the champagne! This fruity recipe calls for 1scoop of lemon sherbert and strawberries to garnish. (Don't worry, sherbert has way less sugar, fat, and calories than low-fat ice cream does! And frankly, it goes better alcohol too...)
